Paw Paw pollen needed    (Posted Thu, Mar 3 '11 at 03:07 UTC)

Looking for someone that will have some pollen from a Paw Paw tree this season.

I can trade if you like. I had 2 trees, one died this past year. My remaining tree has a lot of blossoms come out. Would like to get some fruit this season.
Thanks

I am also interested in obtaining some Paw Paw Pollen. My trees are not specific cultivars and I got them from Gurneys. I also know of a wild patch where I might be able to gather some. Do you know what cultivar/variety your tree is?

Thanks,

Patch

Got them from Miller about 5 years ago. It is an All American Paw Paw (BT130 is the catalog number).

Mine is flowering now in fact some are falling off already. Have you done pollen capture before? Can I just shake some off into a small plastic bag. Maybe cut the flower off. My tree has way too many flowers anyway. We can mail to each other I guess. I live in Hutersville, NC.

I am also seeking Paw Paw pollen and can trade. I'm not sure of the specific cultivar I have, or the gender of the single tree I have. It's bloomed for the last several years, but it has never produced fruit. I guess there aren't other trees near me.

No, never did find any. I got 1 fruit out of the tree last year. My tree is now a few days from bloom. We could try it if it is not too late for you.

Is there any paw paw trees growers in Atlanta that would be interested in swapping some pollen. My tree big tree is full of blooms and the smaller tree just has 2 blooms forming and probably won't be open in time.. any help would be wonderful
