I am writing a paper on the downfalls of food preservatives. I am looking for information and opinions regarding alternative solutions. These are a few questions to use as guidelines.
1. What do you think the biggest problems are regarding food preservatives?
2. How can this problem be solved?
3. How does this effect the consumer?
4. How does this problem effect your facility?
5. What do you feel is the media's role in solving this problem?
6. Do you believe that money is a driving force behind preservatives?
7. What would you change about the current food regulation policies?

I think food preservatives cause our food to be less healthy. I think they either destroy the food value of the organic elements that we need in order to keep the food from "rotting". Sometimes particular preservatives are cancer causing. Look at white flour. It undergoes a particular process that takes every molecule of food value out of it, and it NEVER, EVER rots. When we eat this substance, it creates sugars to make us fat, plus clogs up our entire system so we can't absorb nutrients. It contributes to making our livers overworked so they can't do the job intended, making us more toxic. White flour, white sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and anything hydrogenated (also a non-organic liver clogging substance used to preserve) should all be outlawed outright or carry severe warning labels like on cigarette packages. Doctors should be learning about it, but the pathetic AMA likes to keep doctors treating problems rather than preventing, it's far more lucrative. It's all a sham. The people are nothing more than guinea pigs in our huge, evil "capitalistic" society. If you tried to put on warning labels, you'd probably be surprised to find the AMA and pharmaceutical lobby putting huge amounts of money towards defeating the bill. Try taking a dollar out of their pocket to get healthy in a natural way. To them, NATURAL means FREE. Pure evil. I remember telling a woman who was pregnant that she was doing the right thing by getting an organic veggie box. She agreed, but was scared it was too radical to do while pregnant. Our ignorant sheeple play into the hands of big money. Most of the things we allow in our food are outlawed in placed like England because they have socialized medicine. It's in the governments best interest to have a healthy populous. Here, they use the system we established to protect citizens against us. They twist and turn it and trick and lie. They kill us. We are all sick. Full of toxins, preservatives, benzene, PCB's. Does this answer your questions?

Oh, and to solve this problem? The seeds are planted with the "occupy wallstreet" protestors. There is something the protesters across the world all have in common right now. We, the masses, are all tired of being used by the few. Tired of being stepped on by the greedy. Maybe you are a king, a President, a corporation..........your time of stepping on us is over. The seeds are planted and that is the answer to saving our planet. We used to be complacent. We used to feel helpless when a President enacted policies that enriched the top 1%. If muslim nations can rise up and topple their leaders, believe that Americans will be held down no more. Republicans are trying desperately to make permanent the tax breaks and loopholes for the rich because they know it's over. They can't use us anymore. It's just a matter of time because the seeds are planted. Republican politicians are nothing more than lobbyist for the rich and they are scared right now. Desperate. They are being called out, truth is emerging from the shadows. China will only be able to ship their toxic drywall, toxic toys, toxic baby formula and pet food for a short time longer. Soon, the people will demand to be brought up to speed with everyone else. Save our planet by rejecting preservative laden foods. Produce in the stores that is given a chemical to ripen, then another to shine, wax, preserve. Another to keep bugs and the like away. When you eat it, it will poison you also. Pesticides that are killing all the bees are killing us too. Ruthless Corporations can now contribute endless dollars to keep laws in their favor because the Supreme Court (a total sham) has given them people' rights. They are not people. They operate to make money at ANY cost. Exxon soiled up the Pacific and the Supreme Court allowed them to get away with it. Now the Gulf of Mexico it soiled, who cares? Only the sheeple who live there. Nitrates preserve meat and are extremely harmful. Milk tastes like chemicals. The shower curtain hurts my growing boys hormones. There is no escape from it, it's everywhere.

The answer is in the protests. It needs to become an accepted way of life to speak out. The problems are many, and have been created by a complacent population. That is changing. If it becomes a way of life for us, the people, to stand up and push back the planet will be saved. We, the people won't allow the top 1% to pollute the public watering hole for their gain. We, the people won't allow chemical companies to determine what our food is treated with so we have cancer and disease. We, the people won't allow the AMA and the pharmaceutical lobby to profit from our sickness. We, the people, will clean up, stop consuming everything in sight and out of sight (oil in the ground) at the expense of our air, water, and soil. We, the people will stop allowing chemical companies to make and distribute products that kill the soil, causing it to no longer support life, erode, create desert wastelands devoid of water. We, the people will create a sustainable future to support our future generations in a responsible way that respects all organisms we share our environment with. We, the people will put people in power that support these goals only. It is the only way we will survive. We have to stop the greedy from crapping in the watering hole.

NEVER buy fast food! NEVER eat french fries. French fries are not what you think. When they boil the potato in grease it undergoes a chemical change. It turns into cancer causing acrylamides. Be honest with yourself when you get fast food. You are buying death. Your choice. I LOVE growing potatoes, especially purple ones, they sparkle.

Yes, we grow enough food to feed everyone on the planet. However, in many countries the food that is grown is fed to livestock, which are then killed for their meat. The amount of grain needed to produce a small of meat could feed a large number of people. So, if we all became vegetarians, there would be plenty to go around.
Is there enough food being donated? Yes, but unfortunately the cost of delivery combined with corruption in many contries prevents it from reaching its intended destination. A better solution would be to teach communities to grow their own food and provide them with seeds and livestock that are is native to the habitat. Thanks.
