Spreading Ramial Chipped Wood (RCW), branches from hardwood trees under 3 inches in diameter, is the best way to regenerate agricultural soils according to researchers from Laval University in Canada. Their experiments began in the 1970's, and by the 1990's they had made some great progress in understanding how rich, fertile soils are produced. These articles explain how and why we should use RCW.
This experiment using hardwood chips was done in New York between 1951-1966. They too had great results using the chips.
I'm not selling anything. I am absolutely convinced that ramial chipped wood will build the most fertile soil possible and I just wanted to make more farmers aware of it.
