The Union Farmers? Market (UFM) begins another season on Friday, May 25th. The market will be held on the Common in Union each Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. through early October and will offer an opportunity for community members to come together in the heart of Union to purchase fresh, locally grown and produced goods, hot food, and more.
UFM welcomes the following new members this season: Maine Falafel Co., Mainely Cupcakes, Winterberry Farm, Hamilton Family Farm, Daybreak Farm and Maine Water Buffalo Co. Twenty-three vendors will be on hand each Friday afternoon to sell vegetables, fruits, beef, pork, chicken, lamb, eggs, bread, honey, maple syrup, cheese, foraged items, falafel, hot coffee, tea, salsa, tortillas, fresh flowers, seedlings and wood-fired pizza.
The season?s first market on 5/25 will feature Art on the Common; live music by Kendell D. and Jamie Wood; chair massage; and the Midcoast Spinners. Also new this year are the following themed Fridays which will offer demonstrations, lectures, art for sale and more: 1st Fridays: Agricultural Traditions; 2nd Fridays: Wellness on the Common; 3rd Fridays: Music on the Common; and 4th Fridays: Art on the Common.
