I have just graduated from college with a degree in horticulture and am looking to trun my family farm into a csa. my family has been farming for over 100 years and growing produce for the last 30. we currently have around 600 acres of produce including pole beans, lettuce, cucumbers, onions, 5 different types of squash, three different types of watermelon and cantelopes, 5 different varieties of tomatoes, 12 different types of pepper, pink eye peas, three different varieties of egg plant, collards, turnips, mustard, broccolli, okra, and sweet corn. with more stuff still to list. we currently sell produce to the farmers market in town, but i like the idea of people buying fresh and local. i was thinking about running an add in local papers with around a 30 mile radius. being large scale we dont do organic but are food saftey certified with all our produce crops. i was just wondering if current csa members would be intrerested in a non organic csa and maybe a few pointers for a new csa
any responses are welcome
