creative CSAs    (Posted Fri, Oct 30 '09 at 01:31 CDT)

Our student farm at the University of Wyoming is interested in supplying food to the UW food service moreso than to individual families so that we do not compete with other local farmers. However, it seems like many of the same issues would apply in terms of committment. Would the CSA label still apply to this kind of arrangement, or would this be totally separate? Do any others CSAs provide food to one major consumer? Specifically, are there any other student farms out there that provide food mainly to their own campus, and how is this arranged?

Thanks!

Contact Growing Washington at www.growingwashington.org. They have started to sell to students at Western Washington University and I believe they deliver right to the dorms. Beyond that I don't have any more information.

Catering to the unique Ferndale perspective.
