Looking to farm some land    (Posted Wed, Sep 19 '12 at 09:38 UTC)

Hello. Myself, my girlfriend, and her father are looking to escape the city life and relocate to a quiet country setting. I am 32, my gf is 26, and her father is 54. We are hoping to find either some land we could begin a small farm operation on or a current farm that would allow us to farm on its land. We have limited cash to put down and all of us have credit issues in our past, so we are looking for more of a handshake agreement than something that involves piles of paperwork. We are honest, hard working people who only wish to keep to ourselves (and hopefully a few neighbors!), and enjoy the serenity of farm life. We are looking to grow fruits & vegetables for personal use as well as for sell and crop-share as well. Thank you for any help in advance!

Aaron, Kari, and Mike.

It would have to be within 400 miles of the Sacramento, CA area, thanks.
