Sassafras Valley Farm raises free range pastured geese. We currently raise Embden and Toulouse geese using low impact sustainable agricultural practices. Sassafras Valley Farm geese are raised at a density of less than 36 geese per acre on a diet of local seasonal grasses, clover, fruits, vegetables, and grains in a hormone and antibiotic free environment. Sassafras Valley Farm free range geese are lower in fat content than typical geese available from commercial outlets due to their diet and our unique sustainable agriculture practices.
This year, we are introducing a "Two Small Goose Combo" for the chef who wants to try his hand at two recipes or has a lot of people to serve. An average of 13 lbs of Sassafras Valley Free Range Goose at a considerable savings in cost and shipping.
To assure product quality, all frozen geese are shipped via UPS or Federal Express 2nd Day Air. Please include the date on which you would like to receive your order when entering orders. Product can typically be shipped on Monday or Tuesday following receipt of order (please allow 48 hours for order processing) For special shipment options such as expedited or weekend delivery please contact us.
