We started farming in the spring of 2003 on a few rented acres in Manhattan, and we farmed there through the 2007 growing season. In 2008, we were fortunate enough to start working our own ground. Today, we sell to a 150 member summer CSA, a 60 member winter CSA, 15 restaurants, the Community Food Coop, and three farmers markets in Bozeman. While we have always grown our produce with an eye toward sustainability, in 2012, we certified our farm as organic with the Montana Dept of Ag. It sets an independently verified benchmark. We have relied on crop rotation, cover crops, underseeding, beneficial insect attracting plants, and composted manure to maintain and improve soil fertility and tilth and manage plant pests and disease. We have 12 acres in production, including 3 greenhouses and 2 mobile high tunnels to help with cold weather season extension and warm weather crop production in our cold microclimate on the rich bottomlands of Rocky Creek. Working with us in the field are our seven year old son Zachary and 3 year old girl Ania, four interns, two managers, several part time harvest crew, and working CSA members. Vegetable sales typically start in early June and last through mid winter with storage crop sales and winter hardy greens grown in hoophouses. The summer CSA season is from mid June to mid October, and the winter CSA is from late October through early January. We deliver to our wholesale accounts twice weekly. Located 4 miles east of Bozeman, GVB is a diverse 12 acre Certified Organic vegetable farm dedicated to the sustainable production of food for our local community. Schedule and Location:

Bozeman Farmers Market: Saturday 9am to 12:00, late June to 2nd Saturday in September.
Bogert Farmers Market: Tuesday 5pm to 8pm, early June to late September.
Winter Market: Late October through April, at the Emerson Cultural Center ballroom from 9-12 Saturday mornings, every other week.
