The Garberville Community Farm was founded in 2001 as a community garden that grew into a farm business and food security project. We grow row crop vegetables, pastured eggs, grass and alfalfa hay, and are developing a rotational grazing program. Certified organic for 10 years, our produce can be found at the Garberville Farmer's Market, seasonal CSA boxes, and at local food stores. Our educational component includes school visits to the farm and workshops. We are currently seeking interns for our 2012 season. Inspired by the work being done in the Transition movement, in Permaculture, and in the ecological farming practices proposed by the Land Institute, the farm continues to evolve and grow.
