Softneck, or braiding garlic, is the longest-storing type of garlic and will keep well into the winter. A garlic braid is a beautiful way to store your garlic for the winter, simply break a head from the top of the braid as needed. Garlic braids make unique gifts for garlic lovers or anyone who loves to cook. All of our garlic is naturally-grown, without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers.
We have two different varieties of garlic available in braids this year:
Purple Italian is the classic Italian variety. It is a rustic-looking, purple-striped artichoke variety. It is mild-flavored and somewhat sweet when cooked.
Silver Rose is a beautiful, bright white, silverskin variety. It is slightly stronger than Purple Italian, but still mild enough to use raw.
In order to save paper, we are no longer including printed planting instructions or paper receipts. All of the planting information you need is listed above, but please feel free to email us with any other questions.
You should be able to access your receipt through your Local Harvest account, but please let us know if you would like us to include a copy of your receipt.
