Garlic chives lare similar to chives. But their leaves are broad and flat instead of hollow. Their garlic flavor tastes great in any dish that you put them in. Salads, soups, stir-fry.
Garlic chives are a member of the onion family. Dark green flat leaves which may be used in any recipe that uses normal chives. Called Chinese chives because the plant is grown in China for culinary purposes.
Very nutritious. Used in Chinese medicine. Which is very understandable. Try adding a few chopped leaves into your soup, a good warming effect.
They bloom with a small white flower. When flower is spent, seed is produced and is very easy to collect and grow.
