We reserve our largest heads for seed garlic because the size of the head planted reflects the size of the head that will grow. We mix all of our smaller heads for fresh eating. We have found that the smaller heads store much longer than the larger heads, so this is the garlic that we save for ourselves to eat throughout the winter. The softnecks store longer than the hardnecks, so eat the hardnecks first (the ones with the hard stalk through the middle). The mix contains up to 5 different varieties of garlic! Grown using organic methods (not certified). In order to save paper, we are no longer including printed planting instructions or paper receipts. All of the planting information you need is listed above, but please feel free to email us with any other questions.
