This is my favorite basil to grow. It is easily grown from seed and produces lots of large and delicious leaves. I use them in many culinary dishes. It tastes great when you add fresh leaves to your salad, perfect for Italian dishes and makes wonderful pesto. Basil makes a lovely tea and tastes great with a small amount of honey added to sweeten.
Early variety produces flavorful green leaves. Plant height 24 inches at maturity. Annual.
Basil prefers warm temperatures and does well when planted in late spring after the weather warms. It can be planted in pots in early spring and kept indoors until the weather warms, then it can be taken outside and planted or left in the pot to grow.
If you have never tried freshly picked basil you are in for a treat. It is delicious any way that you choose to use it in culinary dishes.
