88 days. OP. Indet. Heirloom. Pink, very tasty fruits average 2 lbs, but can get substantially larger. We did not intend to offer this variety, as we already have more pink tomatoes than we think we need, but were given some free seed. So, we grew a few plants, and we were sold! Giant Belgium has the same terrific flavor as Brandywine, but is larger, more cosmetically perfect, and is more productive. It is later to produce, but keeps going over a long season. Pink tomatoes have an acid/sweet balance that we think of as the perfect tomato flavor.
Our plants are sustainably raised in our own potting mix. We use only organic fertilizers and sprays if needed. We have been growing and selling plants since 1997.
Our tomato plants are shipped in individual 3" deep pots. They are usually 6 to 10 inches tall and are ready to be planted out in your garden.
We package our plants with extreme care so they arrive undamaged at your doorstep. Each plant is tucked into its own padded sleeve. The soil in each pot is covered so it will not spill out. A plant tag identifying the variety is included with each plant.
We are currently accepting orders for the 2015 season. All of our plants are now available to order. Please note that Local Harvest has asked us to raise our plant prices and lower our shipping prices. So, although it looks like our prices have gone up, they actually have not. Once shipping is figured, you should pay about the same as last year. \\r\\nWithin 24 hours of receiving your order, we will e-mail you with a shipping date that we choose based on your last frost date. You are welcome to change the date to any other shipping week. Just respond to the e-mail and tell us when you want your plants.
