Considered by many to be one of the best heirloom tomatoes, this variety produces bountiful harvests of huge, dark pink fruits. Most of the fruits from my plants this year were between 1.5 lbs and 2 lbs. although it has been reported that the record for this variety is 5 lbs! Fruit is almost solid meat with very few seeds and has a wonderful sweet, low-acid, mild flavor. So sweet, in fact, that many people use this variety to make wine! One of my favorite varieties! Seeds for this variety are often very hard to find and when they are available are very expensive due in part to the small amount of seeds in each fruit. Many of the fruits that I harvested this year had as few as 20 seeds per tomato.
87 days from transplant to harvest. Indeterminate.
I always add a few extra seeds in each packet in case I count wrong.
Detailed planting instructions are included with each purchase!
*Note: Photo shows fruit a bit more red than actual. Fruits are a deep pinkish red color.

All of the seeds we sell have been home grown on our family farm. Seeds are only harvested from the best plants and varieties are either field isolated, caged, or hand pollinated depending on vegetable type to prevent cross pollination. Tomato seeds are processed using fermentation to insure healthy, viable seeds. Our seeds are hand counted and packaged in labeled paper seed envelopes.
