Gifford Park Community Garden

In June 2001 a small group of concerned neighbors had an idea to change a vacant property into a community garden. Our mission is to provide opportunities for people in the community to grow plants and vegetables, and to grow personally through healthy activities. We promote organic gardening practices, good stewardship of the land, and encourage involvement from all different people and cultures to keep the garden alive and growing. Many organizations help support the garden project and everyone is welcome to walk through the garden to learn more about the project.

Plots are available to rent: $15/yr (5FT x 15FT) $8/yr (5FT x 8FT)

Listing last updated on Aug 5, 2008

Each summer we offer a youth garden program (ages 5-14) free to anyone interested in learning about nature in an urban context.
