Golden Guernsey of Illinois

Welcome to Golden Guernsey of Illinois!

We are a small family owned and operated dairy. Our farm and services have expanded in the four years that we have been in the western suburbs of Chicago. After farming in Wisconsin for a couple of years we moved to the Chicago area. Four years ago we bought our first Guernsey cow. We chose this heritage breed because milk from a Guernsey has the A2 protein, is higher in vitamins A and D, and has a higher percentage of butterfat. Our pasture based Guernsey cows are treated with tender love and care, receiving a well balanced organically grown diet.

We do not use any hormones or antibiotics, treating the cows, if necessary, with natural minerals. Our milk is sweet and creamy! We offer raw Guernsey milk, yogurt, pastuered organic eggs and farmer's cheese. We just moved our main herd of 14 milking cows to Malta, IL. The organic farm has a better milking facility and more pasture for our beautiful cows. Our business now has three locations to service all areas: Glen Ellyn, North Barrington and Malta/Dekalb.

I've been a customer since December 2013. I love the fresh milk, eggs and yogurt. I feel so much healthier after just a few weeks of consuming such amazingly wholesome food. I can't wait until the CSA starts
