An Ozark specialty! Picked wild, gooseberries are at their best when green, tart with a bite! They make a fine pie....if you can stand the sugar intake:) When they ripen, they turn purple. Then, they are sweet, as a berry should be. In our homemade jam, we use a combination of the two. Gives the jam a unique flavor. Completely organic, made from berries growing wild on the farm. Add a bit of sugar and some spices, and you have a really nice spread for your toast and biscuits. In 1/2 pint, 8oz jars only.
