We do not filter or heat our honey and the only thing added is an approximately 7" organically grown Madagascar vanilla bean!
Vanilla, a member of the orchid family (Vanilla planifolia) produces a beautiful flower which bears fruit in the form of green vanilla beans. Madagascar vanilla is pollinated by hand. Speed is essential in the pollination process because the flower only blooms for one day of the year.
The whole process is quite time consuming and labor intensive, hence the high cost of vanilla and its various market fluctuations. Vanilla infused honey prices are subject to change at any time.
This makes a wonderful addition to any gift basket! Or, as a gift all on it's own. Perfect for the chef in your life!
Enjoy by the spoonful, in your recipes for that extra vanilla infusion, warmed on brie, drizzled on greek strained yogurt, as a pancake or waffle topper, on your breakfast cereal, in your warm cup of tea, or on a big bowl of ice cream!
