Grand River Chickens is a small but growing broiler chicken business that is part of Lubbers Family Farm. These pastured poultry are raised from chicks in a warm brooder and fed Grahams Organics' grain until they are able to go out onto the rotationally grazed dairy cattle pasture. There they live in the organic feed, insects, grass, sun and breeze and mature into their chicken-ness and give nitrogen to the pasture soil. These chickens are given no hormones or antibiotics.

After 8 weeks, on a Saturday morning the chickens are quickly and cleanly butchered at the on-site processing facility, bagged and labeled and then picked up by customers in the afternoon. Butcher/pick-up dates for picking up FRESH chicken remaining for this year are June 6, July 11, August 15th, and September 19th. FROZEN chickens can be ordered/picked up at any time.
