Grandma's Farm & Zoo

Grandma's Farm & Zoo is a 140 acre farm in SW South Dakota near Mt. Rushmore, Angostura State Recreation Area and Hot Springs, South Dakota, a distinctive destination.

We offer fresh picked, chemical free fruits, vegetables, melons and other food products. In addition we have more than 40 different species of domestic and exotic animals on display for your education and enjoyment. We also offer a pumpkin patch throughout the month of October and part of November, weather permitting.

At Grandma's Farm & Zoo you can learn how your food is grown, you can learn how to use various fruits, vegetables and melons in recipes, you can try a sample of something you've never tasted before and you can purchase snacks and gifts in our gift shop.

You can visit the animals at Grandma's Farm & Zoo where you can touch and see up close many zoo type animals that we have raised. Don't miss the nursery area where you can see all kinds of baby animals. We offer many family pricing packages to help you enjoy your visit. Ride a pony or a horse or take a ride on our amusement ride.

We can direct you to the best places to go or see on your visit to the beautiful BLACK HILLS OF SOUTH DAKOTA and MT RUSHMORE NATIONAL MONUMENT.

Schedule and Location:

Our farm is open seven days a week beginning on or around Memorial Day Weekend through the end of October and into November if the weather permits. We open at 10:00 AM and gates close at 7:00 PM.
