Granny's Garden School is one of the the largest and most comprehensive school garden program in the country We are located on the 24 acre campus of the Loveland primary and Elementary Schools where we have turned the school grounds into teaching gardens. We have 100 vegetable gardens where students grow vegetables for a variety of purposes including serving in the school cafeterias and donating to food banks.
That's just the beginning. We have a 3/4 nature trail, many, many informal flower gardens. (Picking bouquets is part of the experience we offer to our students.)
Granny's Garden School is open for informal self-guided tours (whenever school is not in session) and educational guided tours (by appointment). We offer special programs to the general public, i.e. Pick-a-Bouquet Club, Pick you own Wedding Bouquets and an Educator Training Camp. Visit our website and join our mailing list to be notified of our free bouquet days and volunteer opportunities.
The next generation of gardeners are growing in our gardens.
Fresh, pick your own flowers from June to frost. 10 weeks of bouquets of 24 stems each for a donation of $35. Can be applied to wedding bouquets by special arrangement.
