On our south Texas family farm, we raise 100% grassfed beef, lamb and goat in a biodynamic manner. Being ruminant animals, they are eating a species appropriate diet comprised of native pasture, vines and trees. We use compassionate, thoughtful, humane treatment of all of our animals. The cows contain Angus, Devon, and Irish Dexter genetics but we will only be using heritage Devon and Irish Dexter bulls in our breeding program. Our beef is finished properly as early as just under 30 months but most finished 3-4 years as western aged beef. We then dry-age all for two weeks. Our 100% grassfed sheep are American Blackbelly, which have more of a mild flavor or Dorper/ St.Croix cross, that get a bit heavier. Our 100% grassfed goats are a Kiko / Boer cross, finished over a year old with excellent meat qualities. We also raise heritage pastured Red Wattle hogs as well as Large Blacks. We do not use any vaccines, antibiotics, growth hormones, or chemical wormers. We only use all natural, organic fertilizer, and we do not use herbicides. We currently handle beef orders for an eighth of beef, as well as frozen individual cuts of 100% forage fattened beef, lamb and goat and pastured pork.
The farm located south of Floresville, about 8 miles outside of Poth, TX by the Three Oaks area. We sell on farm, as well as some drop-offs.
