My father bought this farm in 1923. Over the years it has evolved into a small operation that focuses on grass fed beef. We (my son Ronnie and I) raise all of our beef from cows that calve on the farm. The calves stay with their mothers for six months before they are weaned. The calves are put on grass as soon as they are born and eat our own hay for the months that fresh grass is unavailable. Currently, we have 30 head of cattle on our farm. Three years ago, we started with 10 cows. They are Herfords and Angus. We have our own Angus bull who has free access to the herd at all times Aprox. 30% are calves who have only been on grass. The remaining cattle are either breeder cows or beef cattle. My son and I make all the hay fed to the cows seasonally. We offer these grass fed cattle for sale.
