In 2010 we expect to have 9 varieties of apples available, including: Beacon, Wealthy, Connel Red, Fireside, Honey Crisp, Regent, Honey Gold, Cortland and Spartan. All of our apples are certified organic by MOSA and have been for many years. Our self serve facility is open 7 days a week. We have local honey and a small selection of baskets and other gifts. New in 2010, we will have our own maple syrup available, produced from trees within 5 miles of our farm and processed by our family. Our season starts in mid-late August and runs until the apples are sold out, generally sometime in November. Call 507-835-5525 with questions on location or product availability.

More about our farm: Our farm consists of approximately 50 acres of "tillable" farm land which is used for production of certified organic: corn, soybeans, small grains and hay on a rotational basis. We have a herd of 50 beef cows with calves that we rotate through 6 pastures during the summer months. A large portion of our farm is wooded, around 50 acres, and provides heating fuel for 2 homes and our maple syrup production. We are actively managing our woodlots for both lumber, firewood and wildlife. Currently in the woodlots,we are focusing on removal of buckthorn, considered a noxious weed. We have established buffer zones on many of our line fences, planting trees and providing habitat for wildlife. We are not a fence row to fence row farming operation, rather we believe in a small, well managed, diversified operation which benefits the operator by spreading out the work load, limiting capital investment and economic risk while providing a deep sence of satisfaction by knowing our actions reduce the impact on our environment and local wildlife populations.
