Grow Portland's Growers Alliance helps refugee and beginning farmers to grow and sell produce. We partner with Mercy Corps Northwest to provide marketing support for twelve refugee farm families originally from Burma and Bhutan. Our growers produce a variety of vegetables and fruits, all within 25 miles of downtown Portland. The main growing sites are in SE Portland along Johnson Creek, and just east of the city in Damascus, Oregon.
The Growers Alliance connects beginning farmers with consumers through the Portland farmers market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We are committed to producing the healthiest food possible, using organic growing practices and no sprays or synthetic chemicals. By purchasing from the Growers Alliance, you are helping beginning and refugee farmers to succeed financially while supporting the exciting growth of urban agriculture in Portland, Oregon.
