We grown Guavas in the western slopes of Mauna Kea, here in the island of Hawaii. Our Guava Syrup that can be used on ice cream, pancakes or anything you like!

Guava and it?s related species: Brazilian guava, Cattley Guava, Strawberry Guava, Guavaberry and others are believed to have originated from southern Mexico into or through Central America. It has been spread by man, birds and other animals to all warm areas of tropical America and the West Indies since its first mention in 1526. Guavas can actually thrive in both humid and dry climates. Varieties differ widely in flavor and seediness. The better varieties are soft when ripe, creamy in texture with a rind that softens to be fully edible. The flesh may be white, pink, yellow, or red. Some Guava types are named Beaumont, Detwiler, Hong Kong Pink, Mexican Cream, Red Indian, Ruby X, Sweet White Indonesian and White Seedless.
