We've had a market garden for 30 years. Last year (2010), we planted a cover crop in order to build up the soil. This summer we have strips of Rye & Hairy Vetch (cover crop), alternating with garden vegetables/fruit. It seems to have made a difference. We planted lots of Beets, Giant Cantaloupes, and several varieties/types of tomatoes as well as peppers(hot & sweet), okra, and black eyed peas. Although we often sell at the Aztec & Farmington Grower's Markets, we also love to sell directly from our farm - just call. We have a loyal customer base from year to year. Hancock Garden is located right off Highway 516 between Aztec and Farmington.
