Hand-crafted hearth broom approx. 24 in. These brooms are each different. They are made from the multi-color broomcorn that we grow here on the farm. The seeds are combed from the stalks. The stalks are left long on the brooms and then waxed thread is woven through the stalks to make the handle. The broom can actually be used. It is good for using as a "cob web" broom. It can also be used as decoration. We are trying to keep alive the "culture" of our "Mountain People" who made many of these crafts out of necessity.
