This listing is for a 4 ounce braid of super soft 21-micron merino wool roving hand dyed in shades of bright green and deep red -- it is a Phoenix Farm Fiber colorway called "Where the Red Fern Grows." This colorway brings to mind the amazing colors that can be found in forests, such as vibrant greens, dark reds, and shadowy grays.

I use only chemical-free food grade dyes so that your fiber is not only safe, but is undamaged by harsh chemicals -- no phosphates, copper, or harsh mordants. Once dyed, the fiber is washed several times in hot water with all natural soap and air dried. The resulting yarn will be non-toxic and colorfast in vibrant shades of fern, shadow, and flower. I can reproduce this colorway on larger quantities, if desired -- just message me for details.

This wool is super easy to spin and makes a soft and squishy yarn! The merino is American-raised, US-sourced fiber -- it is 100% domestic! The color makes for beautiful spun yarn from a light lace weight up to a super bulky weight. This merino is great for spinning on a wheel or drop spindle as well as for felting, photography, or mixed media art projects!

Need more than 4 ounces? I can dye custom amounts with usually a 1 week turnaround -- message me for your custom order!

This fiber is stored in a smoke- and pet-free environment. It is ready for you to spin, felt, or use for a variety of crafting needs!
