Hands of the Earth Farm

Spring/Summer 2009 CSA Sold Out - Please visit our website to join our waiting list for the Fall Season. Thank You.

Hands of the Earth Farm is an urban organic CSA located in East Austin. We offer memberships for our Spring/Summer season and for a shorter season in the Fall. We also offer our beautiful veggies for sale at local Farmer's Markets. While we always adhere to the organic standards, we have chosen to spend our time and money on growing healthy veggies instead of investing in the certification bureaucracy. We strive to go even further towards honoring all life on our farm, and on this beautiful planet. We will gladly and openly share our growing methods with you and encourage you to schedule a visit or join us on a volunteer work day.

Hands of the Earth Farm is a teaching/learning farm, home to 2-4 interns who are learning the art of farming. We also are building the future of Austin organic farming through our partnership with the much celebrated Urban Roots program. Throughout this coming season 15-20 high school aged youth will be learning to be farmers as they also contribute to our CSA shares.

Please visit our website for more info about current membership availability, volunteering opportunities, events at the Farm, and more...

Thanks for your interest! The Hands of the Earth Farm Team

Why CSA? Eating from the local foodshed brings with it so many benefits, from offering an affordable source of healthy food while reducing the carbon-footprint incurred delivering that food to our plates, to generating an authentic sense of security and connecting us in a very real way to the soil under our feet. We hope you will join us in our quest to share the gifts of our local food landscape. Vote with your fork for the kind of world you wish to live in!
