This beautiful boucle yarn is handspun in a smoke- and pet-free environment from all natural mohair raised on my farm. All of my animals are pasture-raised without the use of steroids, hormones, or unnecessary antibiotics. The results are a superior, truly organic fiber that is hand sheared, washed, and spun.

For this yarn, all natural mohair locks from my gorgeous black doe, Beebee, were spun onto a base of black tweed wool yarn, and was then plied onto another two-strand black tweed wool. The resulting boucle is a luxurious, soft yarn that is warm, strong, and fluffy! The mohair is black, silver, and gray, giving the yarn a luminous Charcoal color. More than a traditional boucle, this yarn is extra fuzzy and fluffy, to give it an extra funky art yarn feel.

This listing is for 1 skein of this handspun yarn, weighing 2.5 ounces. The yarn is very consistent and is a bulky weight at 4 WPI and measures approximately 31 yards.

Hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry.

I also have another skein of a more traditional boucle yarn using the same mohair. Just look for the signature "Charcoal" color!
