Hattich Ranch and Farm

At the Hattich Ranch and Farm, we are committed to offering only the best sustainably grown produce to our customers. We consider ourselves stewards of the land and work hard to offer the highest quality produce with limited impact on the surrounding landscape. At the Hattich Ranch and Farm, we do not use synthetic fertilizers of any kind. Because of our proximity to Sarco Creek, we also rely on limited mechanical tilling to prevent excess sediment from ending up in the waterway. Through promoting beneficial organisms on the farm such as owls, bats, and bluebirds, we greatly reduce our pest population and need for synthetic pesticides.

Berries are a staple of what the Hattich Ranch and Farm has to offer. Whether it is the sweet and juicy 'Triple Crown' blackberry or a tart 'Heritage' raspberry, you will undoubtedly find a berry that fits your liking. From late spring through early fall, fresh berries are available directly from the ranch as well as through several local farmer's markets. In addition, many of our berries can be found in the jams, jellies, and preserves made locally by our friends at Hurley Farms.

For the home grower, we offer both bareroot and potted berry plants during the winter and early spring. These plants are grown locally at our Napa location so they are well adapted to the climate and growing conditions of the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Being locally acclimated, the berries will transplant with ease and thrive once they are planted in your garden.

Tomatoes are something that we are especially passionate about. In 2005, the Hattich Ranch and Farm began growing and selling heirloom tomatoes at local farmer's markets. Several years later, we expanded our operation to include several local restaurants as well as selling directly to customers from our Napa Valley farm.

In addition to fresh tomatoes, we also offer a wide variety of heirloom and hybrid tomato plants for gardeners who want to grow these beautiful tomatoes in their own gardens. Our tomato plants are potted in four inch pots and available in the early spring just in time for planting season.

Whether hot and wild or sweet and mild, the Hattich Ranch and Farm offers a wide variety of peppers to suit every palate. To accompany our heirloom tomatoes, the Hattich Ranch and Farm began selling peppers at local farmer's markets in 2005 and eventually expanded to include several local restaurants. In 2010, we began selling directly to customers from our Napa Valley farm.

As well as offering fresh peppers during the summer, we also offer a wide variety of hot and sweet pepper plants for gardeners who are interested in growing peppers at home. Our pepper plants are potted in four inch pots and available in the early spring just in time for planting season. Unlike tomato and pepper plants that you might purchase elsewhere, our plants are locally grown and acclimated to local conditions which makes transplanting them a breeze.
