Haystack Mountain Goat Dairy is located on seven acres on the rich agricultural plain that skirts the foothills of the Rocky Mountains near Boulder, Colorado. We are one of approximately 50 farmstead cheesemakers in America. That means we produce ch¨vre, feta and five special aged cheeses from milk contributed by our own goats. Our cheeses have won many awards from the American Cheese Society and the World Cheese Contest in the past 13 years. The Life of a Haystack Goat
Our Saanen and Nubian goats are raised on a mixture of alfalfa and grain. They are milked twice a day, once at about 5 a.m. and then, again, at 4:30 p.m. They spend most of their time playing and lazing around outdoors.
