Health Matters Herbs and More was started by Maurine Sharp R.N. in 2004 to provide the community with quality organic/local foods, herbs, spices and environmentally friendly cleaning products. The focus has changed to providing as many Michigan made products as possible to reduce the impact on the environment due to transportation costs and to support Michigan businesses.
In 2007 Maurine signed up as a chapter leader for the Weston A. Price Foundation. Since that time Maurine has worked with Family Farms Co-op to provide customers with access to raw milk, pasture raised meats and poultry and farm fresh eggs. We are now at the Monroe Farmer's Market and are co ordinating use of the food stamp card at the market.
