These Heirloom Alakan/Shasta Daisies come from a main stock given to my daughter by her grandmother many years ago. I would estimate the plant to be over 40 years old! It is extremly hardy, and has been grown as far up north as New England. The Alaskan/Shasta Daisy is a giant among daisies and grows to a height of three feet. It boasts large, white flowers 2-3 inches in diameter, with thick green stalks.
The Alaskan/Shasta daisy can be used as a cut flower, a tall border flower, or as a single display in your garden. The Alaskan/Shasta Daisy is dug in the spring, and will be shipped as a three bareroot tubrts/plants.When the plants arrive place them 2-3 inches deep, and cover with top soil. Water well, and continue to water until the plant is well established.
The Alaskan/Shasta Daisy is a hardy perennial that will thrive just about anywhere. It grows best in full sunlight, but will tolerate any light, or soil condition. We grow our daisies without the use of synthetic fertilizers, or pesticides. The Shasta Daisy will self-multiply, giving you years of blooms with one intial planting.
