Heisen House Vineyards

Heisen House Vineyards opened Memorial Day weekend of 2010. This 5-acre site is also a State and National Historic Site and an example of a pioneer-era homestead. Come tour the grounds, see the 1898 farmhouse and turn of the century barn, toss some feed to the chickens and turkey, and taste our amazing wines made from LIVE, VINEA, and Salmon-Safe certified grapes.

We are committed to sustainability and caring for our land, and teaching others about "earth friendly" practices, as well. Our one acre baby vineyard is being cared for with LIVE certified practices and we currently buy the grapes we make our wines with from certified sustainable growers to support their good work.

We make 300 cases a year currently, and make whites, reds, rose, and sparkling wines. Our operation is very small, family run, and hands on. We do it all from tending the grapes to making the wine to manning the tasting room. Most of the proceeds we make go right back into saving the historic buildings on the property. (We both have "day" jobs too, Chris works as a computer IT tech and Michele is a freelance writer who specializes in the topics of health and medicine).

We're open every Saturday noon- 5 from Feb. to Dec. and have extended hours from Memorial Day to October during the "dry season" where we have live music and local food on Friday nights from 6-10, wine tasting Saturdays and Sundays from noon-6, and special events on the second and last Saturdays of each month.

Please "like" us on Facebook and visit our website at www.heisenhousevineyards.com to find out more about all the fun things going on at Heisen House Vineyards.

We also host private events and weddings and welcome the involvement of volunteers interested in learning more about sustainable viticulture, wine making, and more!

We look forward to seeing you soon!
