In the mountains of northeast Georgia ,the Sautee Valley Epicurean Lamb Co. (SVELCO) at Hemlock Hill Farm produces grass and grain fed free range lamb. We do not feed or inject anything developed since your great grandfather's time, and the tenderness and mild flavor of this American lamb bears this out.
Our clientele of home and corporate chefs agree that this lamb is "the best there is." In 2008 ,our lamb was served at the annual Georgia Conservancy dinner and the Australian Vintners' Conference in Georgia. In addition, we were featured in the November issue of Georgia Magazine. John is also on the executive board of the Georgia Sheep and Wool Association.
We cannot supply wholesalers and restaurants and keep what we set out to do, which is to provide the best lamb for private dining. As locavore supporters we will deliver locally, or if this is not practical, we will ship with 2-day FedEx delivery.
