Heritage Hill Heirlooms is a family owned business located in Cherokee, Alabama. Owner Dennis Deaton served as Agriscience teacher at Cherokee High School for the past thirty one (31) years. Now retired Dennis plans to further develop and grow Heritage Hill Heirlooms. The origin of Heritage Hill Heirlooms developed from Dennis' love of tomatoes and his fascination with heirloom plants as well as his desire to put his research and teaching methods into practice. As Dennis began to experiment with heirloom tomatoes, he noticed that the colors, tastes, and textures of an heirloom far exceed that of a hybrid variety. However, living in a rural community where organic and all natural often elicit funny looks rather than excitement and interest, Dennis was forced to look outside the immediate area for selling possibilities.
