Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) is used in Europe for the treatment of oral and genital herpes, cold sores, canker sores, shingles and chicken pox. It is effective against bacterial infections of the skin as well. The German pharmaceutical product Lomaherpan, contains a 1% concentration. Our cream contains a 10% concentration of our own organic herbal extract.
Echinacea (Purple Coneflower) is also used in Europe to reduce the severity and duration of viral symptoms. In 2006 it was approved in Germany as a pharmaceutical skin care treatment for viral and bacterial infections, inflammation and other skin problems.
