We feature grass-fed beef. Our cows aren't fed grain products and freely graze our non-chemically fertilized orchard grass, timothy, brome, clover, and fescue pastures. They only eat hay grown on our own farm fertilized using "traditional" methods (manure).
Our mission is to provide quality, healthy, and affordable grass-fed beef. We started raising our own cattle for this purpose when we were unable to find grass-fed beef that we could afford.
Our cows are Santa Gertrudis, a breed that dates to the 1890s known for high quality beef, and Santa Gertrudis/Black Angus cross. We process at around one year of age, so our beef is tender and it is between 94 and 97% lean. We can offer humane farm-butchering and can have your meat custom cut (for instance, we always get 2- inch thick steaks for ourselves).
We sell by the whole, half, or USDA-inspected individual cut. Our prices are very affordable-our overhead is low. We also have farm eggs, heirloom starter plants and seeds, and produce and herbs later in the season.
Beef is available by reserve for wholes and halves, by availability for individual cuts.
