We're a real family farm located 20 miles southwest of Iowa City. In 2003 we began following Joel Salatin's model of sustainable farming and marketing, as featured in "The Omnivore's Dilemma" by Michael Pollan. Steve's the 5th generation to live on Highland Vista Farm with Colleen, his bride in 2002. In 2006 Steve left his engineering job to farm full-time. We take NO government subsidies of any kind nor do we participate in any government programs. (more...)
