The Historic Lewes Farmers Market is the largest producer-only farmers market in Delaware, and is located in Lewes, Delaware, "the first town in the first state." 2014 MARKET HOURS AND LOCATIONS: Open every Saturday, from May 10 through November 22 From May 10 through September 27, 8am to noon, located at Lewes Historical Society Complex, West Third and Shipcarpenter Streets, Lewes, DE, except for 6/28, 7/12, and 8/2 when market is at Richard Shields Elementary School Parking lot, just off corner of Savannah Road and Sussex Drive, Lewes, DE. Market features fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, fish, eggs, baked goods, preserved jams and vegetables, baked goods, mushrooms, herbs, cut-flowers, and potted plants.

Activities: Master gardeners lead workshops on a variety of subjects; local chefs demonstrate different recipes made with market foods; meet the grower workshops. Educational materials are available on the above and much more.

Love the vendors and the foods they bring. It's wonderful to be able to supplement what I grow myself, like fresh corn, mushrooms, peaches. The vendors are always happy to answer growing questions and provide recipes.
