Hops (Humulus lupulus) Native to Europe and N. America hops have been used in the brewing of beer since the 9th century. selected in England as a chance seedling in 1861. It lends it flavor to most English Ales. Hops can be dried and used to make teas or stuffed into pillows to help people relax and fall asleep.
