The 3 inch, sausage-shaped fruits mature to red, but may be harvested while still dark-green;
Used to season many dishes including salsa, dips, burritos, tacos and corn bread; also great stuffed or breaded and fried.
Plant seeds indoors about 2 months before the last spring frost.
