Houde Family Farm is run by a family of eleven, plus a brother. We are a certified organic dairy farm that also raises organic veal ( not certified ) , Heritage breed pigs, poultry and lambs. The vealers are bull calves from our dairy herd, raised outside on pasture, organic cows milk, and organic grain. The Heritage breed pigs are raised on natural grain and waste organic milk in open airy pens. The steers are bull calves from our dairy herd that we sell to a small family farm that raises them and sells them back when they are ready for market. They are over 95% grassfed and given very little natural grain (for flavor and minerals). Occasionally we purchase animals from a local grass fed, beef farmer to balance our supply.
