Welcome to Houston's Home Grown! We grow free range chickens for both meat and eggs, free range turkeys, pastured heritage hogs, and lamb as well as fruits and vegetables, and some flowers. We are committed to sustainable agricultural methods, being kind to our soil, animals and environment. The laying flock is made up of heavy breeds such as Barred Rock, Buff Orpingtons and New Hampshires. We grow these same breeds for meat as well as Cornish Crosses.
The turkey flock likewise contains heritage breeds like Midget Whites and Bourbon Reds as well as Broad Breasted Whites. Our hog herd consists of Red Wattles, GOS's, and Large Black crosses, all heritage breeds. We

These are Red Wattle piglets. They are gentle and have wonderful mothering characteristics. Their meat is delicious, juicy and lean. We will have Red Wattle and Large Black cross piglets available around Christmas and the New Year. ....And if you're looking for a delicious Thanksgiving turkey, give us a call.
