Huckleberry, Garden Seeds
At Home Farm Herbery we only plant Heirloom or (Non-Hybrid/Non-GMO) seeds and we save these seeds each year. Often we have some extra and when that happens we are pleased to offer them to other health conscious gardeners and this year we have only 25 packages to sell, so buy yours today.
Huckleberry, Garden (Solanum melanocerasum) Upright 3-4 foot branched plants produce hundreds of ¾ inch metallic purple-black berries in clusters. Best when picked after berries turn from glossy to dull black. Tasteless when raw and unsweetened, but can be made into delicious mock blueberry pies and preserves. Use about 1 pound of berries to ½ cup of sugar for best flavor. Good for freezing and canning. Matures 75-80 days from transplant. Sow seeds indoors ¼ inch deep. Thin seedlings when 2inches tall and transplant into individual pots. Plant outdoors in rows 36 inches apart.
In the event our seeds seem a little bit pricey remember you get what you pay for and what you buy here are seeds that are Heirloom or (Non-Hybrid/Non-GMO) Organic seeds. So when you plant, plant to protect your familys health.
When you sow this package of seeds you are taking part in the preservation of healing plants worldwide.
Approximate 50 seeds per pkt. $5.95 each
