Heirloom Seeds With Local Roots
We are a regionally based seed company in upstate New York. We hand craft our seeds on our small homestead farm focusing on heirloom varieties with histories in the Northeast. All of our varieties are open-pollinated, non-GMO, beautiful and tasty.
In addition to an online catalog of over 200 varieties, we offer a seed library program where members can borrow seeds, grow them in their home gardens, and save seed to return the the library at the end of the season. Our goal is to preserve locally adapted heirloom varieties and keep them alive. We also support local artists by featuring their work on our seed packages. Currently about 50% of our varieties are locally grown. Our goal is to be 100% New York grown within the next 5 years. We are working on becoming Certified Organic and adhere to the Safe Seed Pledge.
